Bare me Cleanser

This oil Is one of my initial Creations. I still remember calculating the percentages of the formulation so that it would be smooth enough to glide like a oil but has to be binding enough so that it can mix with water an remove all the makeup and debris from the skin. This particular recipe is very simple and easy to substitute the ingredients used can be easily swapped for variations and different texture. The Inspiration of this recipe came me being me was reading ingredients of my regular makeup remover, I got to know that many Brands use Iso propyl Myristrate(IPM) as a makeup remover. I always loved the idea of double cleansing and removing makeup with oil but the mess oil makes on the face plus it does not mixes with water so it makes me feel sticky.

I had once read somewhere that PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor oil is a very effective oil soluble emulsifier mentioning these two lovely ingredients here are the core of this recipe. Isopropyl Myristate will help remove makeup and PEG 40 hydrogenated Castor Oil will mix oil and water together and Voila our oil based makeup remover is ready. to give volume to this recipe i have chosen 2 very economical oils because ultimately you will be putting it down the drain. you can also use shea butter to give it a balmy texture. Let get making Heated phase 44g | 40% Rice Bran Oil 34.65g | 31.5% fractionated coconut oil 27.5g | 25% isopropyl myristate (IPM) 3.3g | 3% PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil Cool down phase 0.55g | 0.5% Vitamin E MT-50 Weigh the heated phase ingredients into a small heat-resistant glass measuring cup. Place the measuring cup in your prepared water bath to melt everything through. Once the PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil has melted, remove the measuring cup from the heat. Let it cool, and then stir in the vitamin E oil. Pour the cleansing oil into a 120mL bottle and you’re done! To use, dispense a nickel-sized amount of cleansing oil into your palm, and work it up with a bit of warm water. Massage that into your face before wiping it off with a damp microfibre cloth. Shelf Life & Storage Because this cleansing oil does not contain any water, it does not require a broad-spectrum preservative (broad spectrum preservatives ward off microbial growth, and microbes require water to live—no water, no microbes!). Be sure to keep it dry to ensure it lasts as long as possible—don’t let any water get into the container and it should easily last a year. I would recommend using a pump or a squezzy container. Substitutions for any substitutions f any ingredients you can visit my encyclopedia i only put those ingredients there which i have worked with.
